Nanotubes research program

The nanotube program has three research projects focusing on nanotube synthesis, property modification/functionalisation and application in hydrogen storage. These three projects are carried out over three universities, but strong collaborations between the projects have produced many interesting results and joint publications. The detailed outcomes of each project are listed below.

Project

Formation mechanism of carbon nanotubes formed in the mechanothermal process

New tubes of functionalised, water-solube carbon fibres from carbon nanotubes

Hydrogen storage in carbon nanotubes and their composites
