Functionalisation of magnetic nanoparticles for bio-separation and enzymatic actions

The project explores the various functionalisation routes using silane chemistry to modify the surface of iron oxide NPs for attachment of enzymes.

Major achievements

A host of novel routes have been discovered with durable enzymatic action.
A paper is currently in preparation for submission.

Future plans and directions

Attachment of more specialised enzymes for in vitro and in vivo applications
