Flame-made cationic- and anionic-doped TiO2 as highly efficient second generation photocatalysts
This project explores the creation of doped TiO2 as highly active visible light photocatalysts in a one-step Flame Spray Pyrolysis.
Major achievements
Highly active doped TiO2 has been identified with superior activity both under UV or visible light.
The results have been published in Catal. Today and J. Phys. Chem. C, and others have been submitted.
Future plans and directions
More thorough investigation on the electronic properties of the new breed of photocatalyst to fundamentally understand the role of the dopant.
