Environmental toxicology of designer nanoparticles
This project aims to reveal the fundamental mechanism of toxicity exhibited by various nanoparticles through comprehensive studies with cultured cell lines.
Major achievements
Studies on the toxicity of nano-silver, copper, zinc and their dissolved ions are near completion.
Future plans and directions
Microscopic studies on the effect of nanoparticles and their dissolved ions on model cell.
