Novel cobalt-based catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis
The project investigates the direct preparation of Fischer-Tropsch catalysts by Flame Spray Pyrolysis with high activity and selectivity.
Major achievements
A new composite material has been synthesised and shown to have excellent FT activity and high selectivity towards longer chain hydrocarbons.
The project resulted in a paper published in Chem. Mater.
Future plans and directions
Further modification of the novel catalysts and in situ characterisation of the catalysts.
