Fischer-Tropsch catalysis

This project investigates, in detail, the characteristics of current commercial Fischer-Tropsch catalysts which, are crucial for displaying high activity and selectivity, seeking to optimise their performance.


Major achievements

Preparation and initial characterisation of suite of Rh/Co/La/Al2O3 catalysts for Fischer Tropsch (FT) assessment has been completed.

Future plans and directions

- Assessing performance of fabricated FT catalysts as well as optimising the formulation.
- Developing rapid screening process to assess their activity/selectivity potential.
